camwyn: (Aww doggie)

I deliberately avoided watching the election results yesterday. I thinkt he last time I actually sat down and paid attention to the results as they came in was back in my freshling year of college, November of '92, and that those of us who were watching threw peanuts at the TV whenever the wrong party reported a win. It's kind of hard to top that. Besides, ever since 2000, when days after the election I would get mocked by Italians for my country's failure to get the whole 'how did it go' question answered, the prospect of getting worked up before the polls close and the numbers are certified leaves a sour taste in my stomach. I would therefore like to issue the following blanket policy for future elections:

Unless one of the following happens to be involved in whatever election is going on, I do not want to hear about the results until at least an hour after dawn in my time zone on the next day.

- Nathan Petrelli
- Mongol hordes

That's it. Possibly but not necessarily Oliver Queen, too. Depends how good a mood I"m in that day.

On another note, the illness is generally going away. I'm still coughing badly and make a point of traveling very carefully between the train station and home to avoid disgracing myself; I don't want to be That Guy, the one who breaks down in HORK HORK HORK noises and clutches at parking meters and generally makes you wonder if it's really true that tuberculosis is making a comeback (answer: it is, but not through me). There will, however, be less coughing today. Every muscle between the hip bone and I think the second-from-bottom rib on my left side has decided it hateses us, Baggins, it hates us forever. Bending that side or tensing the muscles necessary to cough results in AUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH levels of pain, so I'm taking my advice from the old joke and not doing that. I still have to cough from time to time, but if I have any say in the matter, I'm restraining that as far as possible.

I will probably take my nasty Canadian turpentine when I get home.

If Nathan Petrelli ends up in any election I think I might move to New York.

Oliver Queen, newly-elected Mayor of Star City, announced he was legalizing same-sex marriages. First in line was Nathan Petrelli, with his long-time partner, Ghengis Khan. This makes Nathan the second-in-command of the Mongol Hordes..

Hmmm. Mongol Hordes. Yeah, I can agree with that.

But what about Tribbles?

As long as some are set aside for foricible tribble stuffing of people I don't like in accordance with number one on the list of top ten ways to kill Wesley Crusher.

Ah, yes, the good old days...

But we already know Nathan's going to win.

Somehow I can't see him doing that. It would be too undignified... unless he was like really drunk and high. Maybe Peter should slip him some of Isaac's heroin.

Mmm... well crying's one thing... ass dancing is another. Maybe some jumping up and down excitedly. And accidentally forgetting to come down...

Take the Cdn turpetine. I have been given for my HORKHORKHORKing, some $20 prescription cough syrup that tastes quite good, but I can't tell what it's supposed to be doing for the cough.
