Meh. Waiting for x-ray results at emergency room now. Doctor wanted to check for walking pneumonia.

Fun exchange that has been repeated several times today as prelude to the x-ray:

"Any chance you might be pregnant, ma'am?"
"I'm menstruating."

Anyway. Waiting on results now.

Keep us posted. This is the first I've heard of vomiting with pneumonia...although, I took my daughter in to have her checked for bronchitis, feeling like shit myself, but as a mother you do these things, and the doc said, yes, your daughter has bronchitis, but YOU have pneumonia. So, yes. a definite possibility. Good to get it diagnosed and treated as soon as possible. Another energy arrow for you:

Yuuuccckk. Post-nasal drip. You can do without that!
Are you sitting in the hospital with the computer on your lap, waiting for x-ray results?
You do have furry friends at home to cuddle with, I hope. You should spend the next three days in bed. No joke. People DIE of pneumonia. Take it seriously. Take care of yourself. I'm selfish. I'd miss you terribly if you were gone to the summerlands!!

Yay for antibiotics, and a chance to sit and watch DW while you get better. Which is soon, hopefully!

*eyebrow quirk*

That would be annoying after a while. I can just picture myself snapping after about the tenth repetition and screaming something like, "I'm currently bleeding like the proverbial stuck pig between my legs! Either Aunt Flo is visiting or I need immediate surgery!"

Sweetheart, you can STILL be pregnant, even if you are menstruating. The due date of my second child was screwed up because of that...(and you *can* get pregnant while breast-feeding, there are only 11 mos between my first two!)

My line on that one, some time before I got married, was "Well, if I am, you can call the Pope, buy him a bottle of champagne, and tell him it's happened again!"

I had to explain to someone recently before X-rays that seeing as how I had had a tubal ligation in 1993 and had not had sex in over four years, I really, really, REALLY did not need a pregnancy test.

I had to explain to them what a tubal ligation WAS. (Dentist's office, not doctor's, but still.)

Gah, I had a bout of pneumonia a few years ago. No fun. No fun at all.

Not that you need to be told this, because thou art smart, but do *not* push yourself once you start feeling a little better. Keep taking it easy until you are truly and fully recovered. Pneumonia is nothing to mess with.

Fortunately, you have the Doctor!

pneumonia is an evil awful horrible thing.

I think I can pretty much echo what everyoneelse has been saying so, Seriously- like sit and don't do anything, watch TV, eat ice cream, get better cause you don't wanna haveta go and get somebody to massage your back or learn to hack up all the crap in lungs and stuff!

And how that I've regressed to a completely juvenile state. PLEASE get better. We're all rootin' for ya. :DD

Unless your follow up question, after finally convincing your doctors that there's no way in hell that you'r pregnant, was: "Do your aunt and your uncle have any reason to benefit from your death?" I believe I have one up on you...
