Sep. 10th, 2006 01:20 pmHome now.
Peeved, but home and safe, thanks to the good people at Chelsea Bikes. They fixed the wheel for me and helped me adjust my helmet and everything. All is well... except that I didn't get to do my !*&()!& century.
The Twin Lights Ride would be my ideal candidate for the next ride, except that it's the day after my mom's birthday. I have to find out when we're planning to celebrate that. Otherwise, there's one in October that goes through Bergen and Rockland Counties to Bear Mountain, and then back.

Date: 2006-09-10 07:47 pm (UTC)Oo, turns out that if I don't wanna go with the Bear Mountain one, the MS Society is having an event in New York onthe same day. If I can raise $100 in pledges, I can ride in their century- and go through the Lincoln Tunnel, no cars.
I can live with that.

Date: 2006-09-21 10:16 pm (UTC)Bear Mountain is gorgeous, especially in the autumn, but the idea of doing that on a bicycle makes me whimper.
