You come out of Snakes On A Plane, pick up your cell phone, dial a friend who has also seen the movie, and cheerfully announce:

.... sue me. I was rooting for the scientist. Also for his FBI agent. Not that I didn't like Samuel Jackson, but I gotta be honest- I locked onto the scientist.

Well, I did root for the big anaconda, but honestly, honey- this was a disaster movie. I spent most of my squee on the disaster responders, rather than the people on the plane.

I was just the tiniest bit sad that we never saw a phone call placed to the Greater LA County American Red Cross. "We need about.... I'd say ten or twenty Mass Care people, and someone from the counseling division. Oh, and they cannot have problems with reptiles. No rly. Srsly. Wai."

I loved the herpetologist guy! He and Troy were my favorite characters. Note: Both total geeks, just on different topics.

Herp-guy was just totally on task and expert. The same with Troy when it came to landing the plane.

Yeah, for a guy whose only experience was flight simulators, he really absorbed the terminology and info well. Good for him.

My friends teased me that I would totally be the herptologist -- which is true. Also, he was uber-competent and made an Indiana Jones reference. How could you not like him?
