Why, why, why is there an acoustic version of "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake being played on JACK FM? More to the point, who thought an acoustic version of "Here I Go Again" was a good idea?

The hell?

ETA: Okay. I get it. It's 'play the acoustic version if it exists' day on Jack, or something.

That still doesn't excuse playing an acoustic version of "Jenny (867-5309)".

What kind of structure does one straddle for the acoustic version of that song?

Jack FM is funny. They'll play three songs in a row from 80s hair bands, and then follow it with, like, Whitney Houston.

I actually like their lineup most of the time. Every once in a while, though, you'll come across something really wacky, an acoustic "Here I Go Again".

They do find the strangest things. I heard recently a Johnny Cash cover of Nine Inch Nails - "Hurt".

That was the most awesome thing I've ever heard. Ever.

... Um. That cover is incredibly famous. Are you sure you haven't heard it before?

I'm sad to say that was my first time. Feel free to mock.

Reportedly, Trent Renzor of NIN cried when he heard Cash's version.

Can't say I blame him.

Because it's there!

Yet another reason why I wouldn't want George Leigh Mallory as my DJ.

Damn. The one day they play something interesting, and I'm not at work to hear it!

Probably the same people who thought that a it'd be really neat for David Lee Roth to perform a Bluegrass arrangement of 'Jump.'

...Cam?

I've LISTENED to your music. This is so not even a SIX on the "Why Can I Not UnHear This!?"-O-Meter.

Unless it's even worse than it sounds like it'd be. Then maybe it's an eight. But STILL.

I don't care about anything that happened in this post from teh first sentence onwards. Know why?

Because I can't think over the song in my head.

"Goin' dahn the only rooooooad I've ever knoh-own!"
