They came out really, really well, except for the one of the bluebuck male (too far away) and the Cape buffalo (ditto). The fallow deer stags are hard to see but that's 'cos God intended 'em to be v. good at hiding in shade.

I'll scan the better shots in when I get back to Jersey. Might make one of 'em a user pic. We'll see.

Now if people would just go home, if the service centers would just shut down so that people here could go home... I've got to be here until the last computer is shut down. (*sigh* Doesn't exactly have the ring of emergency workers or soldiers who stay until the last man leaves, does it? Or even going down with the ship.)

I'm usually only in a situation like that when it's servers or workstations that I've known for awhile, built up a relationship with. It really is more like going down with the ship then... retiring servers is completely different, though.

If you're still in Texas, though, I have a pleading and strange request. Kevin needs a bolo tie for a LARP character and we've been looking but you can't find them around here anymore. He'd cheerfully pay you for it.

Since I have to go to the mall tonight to try and capture evidence of the 'TEXAS: Scaring The Bejeezus Out Of The Other States Since 1845' t-shirt, is there some particular sort of bolo tie I should be looking for? Any design or decoration on the metal bits?

Not that I know of. It's mostly because people kept twitting him about having a regular tie instead of one. So at this point I think he'd be happy for any one. It's not really a classy character.

Hope he likes iridescent cow skulls, then. I almost got the silver-and-gold Western-style saddle one, or one with the outline of Texas as the slide and a couple of tassels, but the cow skull design took the cake hands down.
