camwynMS exam 70-271: Supporting Users and Troubleshooting a Microsoft Windows XP Operating System: passed. Score necessary to pass: 700. Score achieved: 883.
Must schedule 70-272 and pass it to complete MS certified desktop technician status, which is not so much of the prestige but is something that makes the boss-dudes happy, and will allow for further company-sponsored MCSE prep/testing.

Date: 2006-06-07 07:20 pm (UTC)You might want to consider going with an MCSE 2003: Messaging as your goal. The really nice thing about getting that is that you'll also have your MCSA 2003: Messaging when you're done.
Since you've already got 70-270 out of the way, that leaves you a total of 8 more exams, including 70-272. I only copied down the exam numbers from the MCSE homepage, but here's the exams you would need to finish an MCSA with the messaging specilisation:

70-291
70-284
To upgrade that to an MCSE with the same specialisation, you'd need the following additional exams:
70-293
70-294
70-297
70-285
Exam 70-284 is listed as an elective for both MCSA and MCSE, and as long as you have to take one of the electives, you might as well go with one that makes your certification stand out from the rest. It, and 70-285, are the Exchange Server-specific exams you would need.
