May. 8th, 2006 09:45 amRescheduling both my MS certification exams, mostly 'cos I"m not ready for either. One I'm going to have to pay for myself, 'cos I didn't get to reschedule it a full business day before and so it won't let me change my appointment for today. The other was free 'cos I gave them five days' notice.
Am okay with this. My own damn fault anyway.
Meanwhile, at work, recovering from sunburn incurred yesterday. Memo to self: BATHE IN SUNSCREEN BEFORE NEXT EVENT.

Date: 2006-05-23 05:39 pm (UTC)The SPF 45 bottle is blue, paler and greener than royal, not as green as teal/turquoise, with either a white or yellow cap and white letters.
If it keeps *my* moontanned face from turning into the Rise of the Lobster Queen after bopping around the Arizona -Sonora Desert Museum (http://www.desertmuseum.org/), elevation 2-ish thousand feet, sun: lots, saguaro: many, javelinas: cute, coyotes: hiding in shade like sensible canids) all day, it should be good for you in a bike race. Also, no ucky residue.
Now if anyone made a leave-in conditioner with reasonable SPF value, I would be a happy girl, 'cos sunburn on scalp? Sucks.

Date: 2006-05-08 11:49 pm (UTC)don't know if this will help, or how easy it will be to find, but I'm white like a welshman (family is all welsh-irish), burn all the time, and the best thing I've ever found for sunburn is Calendula gel or cream.
It's kinda hippie medicine; you'll probably have to find it at the health food store, but I've tried it ALL and that stuff by-golly is the best I've ever found. reasonably cheap, too.
