Note to self: talk to pet grooming lady. Cats have to be stashed from 28 Jan- 29 Jan. Exterminator needs apt. access for 3 hours on 29 Jan. feh.

Note to everyone else: Last night I made pie. Blueberry. This is not especially relevant to y'all, I know, but I am one of those people who would make Zen masters very sad, because I have a hard time concentrating on any single task if I have done it a zillion times before. In this case, I have made pie crust a zillion times before, so I laid out a copy of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and read it while I was working on the crust.

I now have a very cranky Liverpudlian bastard demanding to know why he hasn't been let out to play lately and FINISH THE CHAPTER, BITCH.

So, um, yeah.

(The pie, for what it's worth, has an excellent crust, though the blueberries are a little too tart for my liking.)

A slightly tart blueberry pie sounds absolutely heavenly to me.

Well, then. Pop on down to New Jersey and you'll have plenty. The crust uses butter and shortening; the filling is blueberries, flour, sugar, and a little bit of spice mixture.
