I just got smacked between the eyes with a powerful sense of how evil I am to my characters. Well, to one character in particular. Ever realize you've been sowing the seeds of a metaplot for longer than you knew?

I think I'm feeling sorry for poor Ray in advance. I hope nothing too dire happens to him. I like him. (And so does my character, who hasn't been in the bar for, oh, six months or so. milliways_bar is NOT designed for limited Internet access as a result of near-killer illness.)

And damn I'm going to be so behind when I finally get my computer. Got that snarl straitened out. Turns out that the company was no longer making that model but no one though to tell Tiger Direct. :)

I clicked on the userinfo for the character to see who it was and was amused to see that we overlapped at Columbia. I still haven't seen the movies, but somehow I thought all the ghostbusters were noticeably older than me.

Movie canon, yes. Ray is from the comic miniseries Ghostbusters: Legion, which set the events with Gozer in October of 2003, thus necessitating jumping everything forward by twenty or so years.
