I am frightened by Chinese food with cheese. (well, except cream chese wontons, which are good. But I can think of few other possible exceptions.)

Next time you have web access:

Cheese in chinese food. Hm.

I'm trying to think if i've encountered this before. Ever?

I lived in Louisiana for nearly three years. They have some... interesting culinary habits, especially when they encounter ethnic food.

The local "Chinese" buffet where I used to live only served sweet iced tea and didn't stock chopsticks, either.

Basically, cheese and Tony's Cajun spice mix goes in almost everything.

And alligator isn't that bad. Kinda chewy, but not too bad.

My husband notes that the railroad didn't really get to Louisiana, and therefore expecting good Chinese food anywhere near there is futile.

Only he did it in a hilariously bad deep-southern redneck accent. Which I can't convey in text.
