I"ve found my way to the Baton Rouge library, which is open most weeknights until 10 PM, and have been kindly granted the use of one of their internet terminals. So, hi.

Been working like a dog for the past two days- tech support mostly- configuration, installation,etc., including setting up laptop computers that are going to see more of the flood zone than I am. There will be more setup tomorrow, but I will not be there, because I finally have a day off. Which is a very good thing as I am tired like whoa, and may well have a crack at sleeping properly in the shelter tonight. I am going to stop at Wal-Mart tonight and buy earplugs to go with my eye mask and sleep until the Methodists make me get up.

Have begun work on latest Hellblazer: Hogwarts chapter, from Harry's POV at the moment.

Urf. More later as I regain brain cells.

Truth be told, I did the writing on the plane to Houston. I may be doing more tomorrow because I HAVE to get my head out of Red Cross space for a while if I am to avoid going bugnuts.

Thanks, hon. I appreciate the thought. This was just something that I could do that needed to be done, though- I'd be a piss-poor geek and a piss-poor Christian alike if I didn't do it when I was capable of doing so.

Doesn't mean I'm not going to allot my vacation time early next year, mind. But for this situation, I'm glad I didn't.

Cats are doing well. Behaving for the most part. Tried to show them to my nieces, but they hid. They have found favorite chairs and rugs, and at least one likes to sit on the scanner.
