Today's ride: out from house, down Jersey Avenue, across Morris Canal, past Liberty Science Center, over to Cavin Point Road in failed attempt to find Sports Authority, past Army Corps of Engineers depot at Cavin Point, up Linden, down Garfield, pull over briefly at bike shop to buy hydration backpack and new gloves and one or two other small things, back onto Broadway, down to 8th, over to North, stop at Rag Shop for size 10 needles and big hank of yarn for cat bed, out to 440, down as far as 4th St, up the stairs, and across the pedestrian walkway of the Bayonne Bridge. Alll the way over and then some puttering around within a 1-block radius, then back. The route back diverted to go through Liberty State Park and add a little distance from 'go to the river, then come back from the river' extra leg.

Total distance traveled: 19.42 miles.
