i'm not demanding you change it or anything.... it's not like i'm buying a product and complaining about the workmanship or something... if it's good for you, keep it... it just seems a bit fast for me...
D'you have a stockpile of Constantine icons somewhere, and if so, can you point me in their direction? Ghostbusters is all very well, but Johnny-boy* is attractive.
*Don't tell him I called him that. I foresee his immense displeasure.
Yes, but see, you *use* them, and I don't know where you get 'em from. And I like them a lot. Oh well, I'll just keep on waiting eagerly for a glimpse.
On a related note, am I the only one who was shamed and outraged that they didn't cast James Marsters for that Constantine movie? I mean, Keanu Reeves was adequate, but he has two major problems: 1) he's not blonde, and 2) he's not British. James Marsters isn't either, but he can fake it like nobody's business.
...and now I'm itching for a crossover fic in which Spike meets Constantine and hilarity ensues. Pity I can't hold a plot together even with three miles of duct tape.
Oh. Well, some of them are cropped from images at the Straight to Hell website, though I have forgotten its URL. I suggest a Google search on the terms "straight hell constantine hellblazer". There are a few other icons on my RP journal for John, bastard_john. While I agree that James Marsters would've done a lovely job, I'm a bit more inclined towards Callum Keith Rennie, who is the only live-action human in bastard_john's userpics.
I GISed "constantine" a few minutes ago and landed myself some lovely stills from the movie, but no Hellblazer scans. I'll have a look at that Google, and of course I'm friending bastard_john. Any more contact I can have with your John muse is a good thing. *fiendish grin* Hmmm. I wonder, would your John muse mind terribly having a conversation with lytii_intuition, my muse? I suppose I'll send her over there to introduce herself... won't that be interesting.
...Wow. I GISed that fella, and you're right, he'd make a brilliant John. *stares at pretty pictures* However, I have no info on his acting skills - whereas I know damn well that James Marsters is bloody stellar. And he's already done a character who bears many resemblances to John - British, blond, snarky, smokes a lot, incredibly cool, fond of trenchcoats...
Besides - don't be ashamed. I haven't read *any* Hellblazer. Except that free online sample thingy. And I've also read the first of the Books of Magic, for what that's worth.

Date: 2005-08-16 02:25 pm (UTC)I haven't actually read that much Hellblazer. And I own even less than I've read.
Not to mention that all of the Constantine icons are just bases, really, no words or anything.
