Did 7.25 miles today. This is because I tried to go as far as I could into Hoboken, hoping to get on a road that could lead me towards the GWB, and got on the wrong road.

Stopped at the supermarket and got dinner though, so that's all right. And it's not like it was hilly. I barely sweated, except under the helmet. If they ever invent a bike helmet that can scratch your itchy scalp for you when needed, I will buy it even if it costs $200 USD.

Must get map for next time. Also, must take front fender off- damn thing keeps squeaking against the wheel and I do not know how to fasten it properly- and find where I put the flashylight for the back.

BTW, the bike's name is Wanda. C'mon. It's bright red (where it isn't silver or black). It looks like a Wanda.

Bikes need names. My Taiwanese Bianchi Boardwalk is "Madame Butterfly".
7.25 mi. is a nice ride; I haven't been out on Butterfly in a week and a half. Too freakin' hot. Tomorrow, it'll be cooler: I'll ride to work and back.

I'm thinking tonight I'm gonna see if I can get to Bayonne. It's around six and a half miles to Bayonne, so there and back isn't too unreasonable a training run for the 35-miler. That, plus there's a light rail line that runs from here to there and back again. If there's trouble I can pull over and get on board.
