Bad fanfiction is full of 'Hermione changed over the summer and didn't tell her friends until Platform 9 3/4', right?

And mostly it's appearance but nearly every single one includes somewhat weird personality changes, yes?

What if she is, in fact, a Gallifreyan- and got killed over the summer?

Which could lead to either the lovely spectacle of the Daleks swarming in and blowing Hogwarts out of existence to wipe away the Sues and warped versions of canon characters...

Or to a nice protracted saga wherein we find out that the Time-Turner is an artifact of Rassilon and Tom Riddle = the Master.

Honestly, some days I wonder what it's like inside heads where this kind of thing doesn't happen.

Well... both are brilliant and evil renegades who unleashed multiple plans to get themselves power and rulership, thwarted again and again, then after being apparently KILLED, stole someone else's body to start anew....

Much similarity there/

Yeah, but until you pointed it out I didn't make the jump for how close things were on the bad guy side.

Now I want to read/write a Trenchcoat Bitch fight, where The Doctor, Constantine and Spike fight over who can pull off a trenchcoat the best.

They grow up like my Uncle, who only has seven books in the house.

Seven!

Some days, I have seven books in the CAR.

I'm sure those individuals lacking your manner of brilliance manage to get by somehow.

I wasn't trying to sound braggy; it was more supposed to be something of an academic curiosity.

My response was intended to be more of "Count your blessing" rather than an acknowledgement of arrogance."

I myself tend to feel a certain amount of pity when I try to think about what life must be like for those people who have trouble sitting down to a conversation about world domination or the like.

Sounds magnificent. Hermione was, of course, placed where she is in order to watch over Harry, and has been a Time Lady agent all along. And the Room of Requirement has so many affinities with a Tardis . . .

Please write this. ;)

Your brain is...it's your brain. This is all that needs to be said.

So....

Are you going to write Hermione the Gallifryan?

I might do it. Or at least share the notion with evil plotbunnie

for those curious.

Probably a lot less interesting.

I do like this idea, if only because the Doctor can't have been the only renegade Time Lord. In fact, if my memory of Who cannon is right, there are three: The Doctor, The Master, and The Rani.

The dude from The Five Doctors doesn't count since he got his butt whupped by Rassilon the same episode.

That said, it would be more appropiate if perhaps Hermione's mother or father was another survivor of the Time War. A low-level peon at the edges who fell through a time hole and made the best of his or her situation.

There is a fourth Renegade Time Lord. Hobbes.

Yes, from Calvin and.

Think about it.

The cardboard box is -obviously- Hobbes' Tardis.

And Hobbes had that mix of mad genious and child-like wonder and crazy snark that makes the Doctor so wonderful.

My theory is that Calvin is going to grow up to lead Earth into a new Utopia and Hobbes is there to make sure he survives.

Speaking of the Rani - that's obviously who HErmione grows up to be.

That would be some pretty big changes in her character to turn Hermione into the Rani

True, but if everybody else in the Order of the Phoeni gets taken out in the fight to defeat Voldemort, I can totally see her going over to the Dark Side.

Maybe . . . it doesn't feel right though. If her Gallifreyan Parent was stranded on Earth, where would she get a Tardis?

Dear, I have insane ideas too, I just...can't write, so they mostly get forgotten.

But, I am currently handing out for a good HP/Red Dwarf crossover, and there is my theory that Fox Mulder and Luna Lovegood are soul mates...

But, forgot to say: please, please write a Dr Who/HP crossover. I love your other crossovers, so I am sure you could do it well.

Um.... I wouldn't know. As evidence, I present this entry (http://www.livejournal.com/users/isustrikanda/55648.html#cutid1) from some ways back (altho part of that was your fault, too).
