Hmmm... possibly you're right. Vicious as I might get in my karate classes (my instructor was convinced that I had been one of the other students' sibling in a former life and was still out to beat the snot out of him), that's just hand-to-hand, and I don't know that I'd have the stomach for killing if incapacitation were an option.
