Yup. As I've been saying, this movie universally reduces otherwise intelligent, eloquent fans to puddles of squeeing incoherence (well, and then we pick ourselves up and write an analytical review).

LOVED this movie. Love it. Still high from seeing it Saturday. Must see it multiple times.

*chortles with glee*

Yes, it was! I saw it this evening, too!

At last! Another comic book film adaptation done with some fucking care and respect!

I heard that Bale looked on the movie as a horror story, and played the role like that... I got to see a sneak preview, and was quite happy with the results... except for the technobabble that Morgan Freeman spews in that one scene....

my sweetie and i just sort of *looked* at each other.... and went back to enjoying the movie...

what i really liked about it was the way they explained how the batman came to be, instead of just having him pop up, fully formed, like athena from the brow of zeus (i've always wanted to use that phrase :) )

*g*

Remember when we had a couple of discussions about how Buffy was acting like Batman?

Thank you! Squee as much as necessary. Just don't tell me what happens, cause I can't go see til next week.

By then we can probably put together a squee chorus.

This is probably one of the best things ever. For years, I've been saying he can't act, because he's always crazy Gary Oldman. Color me so impressed when I saw James Gordon and not Gary Oldman.

Even better: I didn't recognize him as Gary Oldman. I kept wondering who he was, all the way through. That's acting!

I spent about the first day telling people how bloody wonderful Gary Oldman was as Jim Gordon. To see a GOOD Gordon, not the bumbling oaf he's become in too many adaptations.

Oh, for. Here is a shiny toy to distract you. I don't think it'll work for long.

An open letter (http://www.venganza.org/) to a school board about teaching Intelligent Design in the schools. There are pirates involved.

I am immune to squee. Usually.
But I'll say, AYUP. This deserves it.
