Okay. How to get to Liberty State Park via in-line skates from where I live.
1. Wear flip-flops down to the street level because you are in a fourth floor walkup.
2. Put the skates on.
3. Socks first, dear.
4. Also the armour.
5. Now turn left from the steps to the building and skate until you hit Jersey Avenue.
6. Turn left again.
7. Skate along Jersey Avenue until you come to the Light Rail line.
8. Stop, sit down on the curb, and take off the skates.
9. Stuff the socks in the skates.
10. Put your flip-flops back on.
11. Walk across the light rail tracks.
12. Keep walking, because beyond that there is still some pavement, but then comes the nasty only-partly-paved parking area behind Harold Neu or whatever that company is.
13. Find the gap in the swamp grass and stuff on the far side of the parking area.
14. Through the gap you will find a wooden footbridgey thing across the extension of what used to be the Morris Canal.
15. Follow that footbridge.
16. Beyond the footbridge you will find asphalt, a bit old and battered, but still serviceable. I suggest you keep walking.
17. Then comes the new asphalt, but this is in the form of a hill. Walk up the hill.
18. At the top you will find an area where you can put your skates on. You may want to do this here, or you may want to keep walking.
19. Depends on if you want to cross the cobblestoned road that leads from the park entrance to the end of the marina on wheels or not.
20. Anyway, on the other side of the cobblestones you'll find a nice paved bike path, very smooth, very quick under the wheels. Follow that.
21. At the end of the path go into the street at the curb cut and turn right.
22. There you go.
