I got POCKETS.

I ordered a pair of the hidden cargo pants from SCOTTeVest about two weeks ago, along with their Best Baseball Hat Ever (tm) (no, seriously, they trademarked it) and a zipper pull with a compass and flashlight on it. The package arrived yesterday. First time I've ordered clothing sight unseen based solely on inch measurements rather than size; the pants fit rather nicely but I do hope they don't shrink in the wash, as they're just barely long enough to suit. Of course, washing may be a bit challenging to begin with, since there are twelve pockets total on these and several are held shut with magnets, but enh...

Still. These pants look good, fit well, suit the business casual dress code the office has gone to for the summer, and allow me to carry my wallet and cell phone at a sufficiently inconvenient level that I no longer worry about them falling out or being filched when I'm not looking. I just wish I could figure out how to get to the last pocket, 'cos I can feel one more 'you can use this pocket for X purpose' card in here and I have no idea where the opening is that'll let me get the damn thing out.

ETA: Found it, after some time searching in the bathroom. There's a zipper involved and the pull had been tucked out of the way. The pants may be seen here.

Yeah, I want to see! I bought a Photographer's vest last summer for (wait for it) carrying around my camera, jukebox (for downloading pics to), and associated paraphenalia. The thing was ugly as sin and made me look twice as big as I actually am but I love those pockets.

Those pants are great! My fiance recently bought several pairs for wear here at Dell. (oddly enough, he bought them to be more formal, not less.) They havn't shrunk at all and have done just fine on standard wash, for me.

So do they actually have woman-shaped pants, or can you wear the men's cut? Unfortunately, I can't. Wish I could.

have you checked the FAQ and x-rays on their website?

I can't believe I'm advocating a FAQ for pants of all things....

Q: Why won't my pants stay up?
A: Make sure that both the zipper and the button above it are fastened. If that still doesn't help, consider investing in suspenders or a belt. Or get a smaller size pants.

i'm actually reaching on the FAQ... i don't know if there is one or not, but given everything else, it wouldn't surprise me if there was one...

Sweet! I need one to go dancing in, 'cause I don't like to carry a purse around with me if I'm going to be leaving it alone for long periods at a time. Alas, they don't have the pants in my size.

was it the change pocket or the "hidden pen pocket"?

....POCKETS.

I wear a jacket in 80-degree weather because it's got pockets, and I refuse to wear a purse. These pants? Are BADASS.

*singsongs* Cam collects pocket freaks!

Wearing a jacket in 85 degree weather? Who, me?

*looks guiltily back at the jacket on the back of his chair, with its (2) pockets stuffed with things like Postit Note pads, floss, a pack of tissues, a matchbook (I don't smoke) hair tie, eyeglass cleaner, more tissues, a wad of napkins, and a portable mirror...*

And I further have to admit that my favorite pants (from the Stovepipe company) are my favorite because I can drop an entire 16 ounce water bottle in them -- and it -disappears-.

you think this is nice, check out utilikilts (http://www.utilikilt.com/)... they measure the capacity of their pockets in beer bottles... they are, of course, somewhat pricey, and wholly useless if you're not down with wearing a man-skirt... but it's still a gneet idea
