It can be done. The Swedes broke a number of moose to the saddle in the... I think it was sixteenth or seventeenth century. They wanted to use them as shock cavalry. They started from calves and got 'em rideable, but when the moose first encountered cannon fire the animals freaked out and became completely uncontrollable. Which is a damn shame, because moose on the battlefield would sure scare the living daylights out of ME, but I can understand the moose POV on this issue. I just want one for personal riding and state occasions.
