Verizon came through this morning. All is well. No DSL yet and the guy said they may have to bring in my DSL from the outside as my line is on fiber rather than copper, but we'll jump off that bridge when we come to it. For now, all three of my land line jacks work and I have phones plugged into two of them. (The third is a wall mount in the kitchen.)

Whee!
