Feeling somewhat better now, although nothing harshes a good night's sleep like waking up at 4:30 in the morning because YOU HAVE TO SNEEZE AND SNEEZE AND SNEEZE AND SNEEZE AND SNEEZE. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I had to sneeze at night. Guess my nose was cleared enough to breathe through. Still, this did not make sitting in my bed sneezing my fool head off and wondering if bits of palate bone were going to come loose any easier.

I took some Tylenol Cold & Sinus this morning before work, specifically choosing the non-drowsy formula. Anything else leaves me flattened and useless. The train was too crowded to do any work on Hellblazer: Hogwarts this morning, and last night's ride home was even worse- but the students have started filing into the Great Hall and John is about to find out what the Welcome Feast is like, so that's something.

Over among the chatter of [livejournal.com profile] theatrical_muse, the 'exact opposites' question provoked an interesting response from [livejournal.com profile] vir_cotto_tm. Vir's mun is doing an excellent job with my favourite young Centauri, I think- always has, whenever I've stopped to read that journal. This week's question led several muses, including [livejournal.com profile] sgt_preston, to comment in Vir's journal. I'd like to know what the heck is up with Preston, space aliens, and the Metís Rebellion, because he's been talking about that with Vir, though not to the same degree as with [livejournal.com profile] jago_ateva... (Well, c'mon. It makes for interesting parallels with the Narn situation.)

There was something else, too, but I've forgotten what it was. Possibly to do with the blanket I'm knitting. I've got three squares done and thought I'd finish a fourth this morning, as I don't need the same space to knit as I do to write, but the ball of slightly icky-looking brown Wool-Ease Thick and Quick turned out to be missing several yards in the middle and failed to yield two full square feet. (I came to a loose end in the middle. I think something went wrong at the factory.) I've gone on to work with the red yarn- only thirty two more square feet to go!

More later as events warrant.

Ick. Though, truth told, I'd rather wake up sneezing than coughing -- I'm one of those types, once I start with the coughing it goes on and on and on and I end up gasping for air.

Glad to hear the stories coming along -- I still can't wait to see John's respose to Harry. Even more so, I can't wait to see his response to Hermione. I can see him asking her strange, obscure and actually fake questions just to stump her and make her shut up. "Don't know the answer? Fine. No more raising your hand until you find out."

Being sick sucks, but I have to admit that I've spent so much of my life sneezing because of allergies that it's hard to imagine NOT doing it a lot, even at night. Just call me "mouthbreather"; I'm used to it. Hope you're over it all soon, and can get John into a classroom soon.
