Update, just this side of Og.

Am not feeling well. Haven't been for several days. Dry (to the point of cracking and bleeding) nasal passages, post-nasal drip leaving back of throat raw, stuffed head, blocky-feeling ears. General malaise helped a bit by sleeping 8+ hrs. a night but last night not even the NyQuil could blast my head open enough to breathe properly and get to sleep immediately. Stupid NyQuil.

Drinking enough tea to float a destroyer. Also eating much soup, taking multivites.

Working on Hellblazer: Hogwarts on train in the evenings anyway.

On another note, this line appeared in the NY Daily News today:

"Ashanti will be playing Dorothy in "The Muppet Wizard of Oz" this spring."

Have looked on IMDB. Said movie will be made-for-TV. Jeffrey Tambor is to play the Wizard, Queen Latifah is Auntie Em, David Alan Grier for Uncle Henry, and for some reason Quentin Tarantino has a part as himself.

Thought you should know.

I nearly chocked on my eggs laughing at the thought of Quentin Tarantino in the Wizard of Oz! I can't stop laughing! I may have to see this version just for that.:) I want to see it really incredibly bloody and gorey! When the Wicked Witch gets the house dropped on her there should be a huge spatter! Sorry, horrible, it's just ... QT! ACK!

Can you get some of that saline nasal spray? Not the kind that is supposed to unstuff your sinuses--that should be kept for REALLY BAD stuffiness only, because there is a physical addiction effect. Eventually your sinuses won't stay open WITHOUT it. So, bad.

The saline stuff, though, is like a miracle. I always thought my grandma was crazy to snuff salt water out of a cup held up to her nose. (Hey, she was crazy about a lot of stuff, why not that too?) But a few years ago, in desperation with a bad cold/flu/bronchitis thing, I tried the saline. It helps SO MUCH. Dampens the raw, clears the stuffed, loosens the sticky way back in the back.

Go ahead and splurge on the good kind, Ocean, if you can. It has buffering stuff that keeps it from stinging your irritated nasal passages.

from what I read, they wrote Quentin Tarantino in as when they have to go after the wicked witch, it'll kinda 'pause' in the action, and Quentin will give 'instructions' on fighting the wicked witch and her minions.

However, this was something posted ages and ages ago (damn. must find link, it was in my own lj I thought ... will post if I do) so it may have changed.
