Sims 2 skin work.

It really hasn't progressed much so far- either the skin work or the game. My computer keeps freezing. I think it may be something to do with my hard drive setup- I've got two, the C: drive being the older one and the E: drive being an eighty-gig model I installed recently. I've had bad things happen more often since installing the second drive, particularly involving spontaneous reboots. I may be upgrading the whole system soon so hopefully that won't be problematic long... anyway, I did a little skin work and created a sim of John Constantine, like I said. Here are some pictures of him:













I didn't create any of these graphics; I put them together using Maxis Software's Body Shop tool for Sims 2. Someone else created the brown coat and boots and trousers; I merely edited the image to include John's usual button-down shirt and a poorly fastened tie. Still, it was really quite a lot of fun and I think I got him as correct as anyone who has no access to tiny electronic cigarettes can manage.

You know the lack of nicotine is ultimately going to drive him to do horrible, horrible things...

...much less when that damned rabbit he was trying to exorcise back in NEwcastle shows up.

True. But given that he's a Knowledge Sim and he really wants that telescope, it's probably best that he go off the cancer sticks now, before the aliens snatch him and jam a blue-skinned baby in there.

Mind you, I do intend to use one of the money cheats to put a really high-caliber espresso machine and in-house bar into his dwelling as soon as the game stops freezing my system. THis is John we're talking about. Of COURSE money will mysteriously appear out of nowhere, just before something very horrible happens.

That, or he and Kit will finally be patching things up properly, and Zatanna will show up on the doorstep...

I just figure that if any Sim is fated to draw the attentions of the Social Bunny, it's one based on John Constantine.

Nice job. :) He looks more about the age he was in the Mucous Membrane days, though -- I suppose the Sims default to a vague twentiesish in apparent age?

The life stages available are something like Baby, Toddler, Child, Teen, Adult, Elder. 'Adult' is the vague twentiesish stage, and I don't seem to be able to find any options for adding middle-age changes to the appearance. So, yeah, he's gonna look this age until the day his hair goes grey. I was just pleased to see they had the right hair available.

Did you notice that the mirrors give you the option of changing hair style and adding stubble? They do.

Sweet. I may have to try that out at some point and see if I can get him to look borderline respectable.

Eh. It looks like John, if he ever didn't slouch and actually stopped sleeping in his clothes. I don't suppose that thing has a "rumpled" setting, does it?

Afraid not. And while I did catch him napping on the couch once (which was amusing, because Kit wanted to dance and gave him this frustrated look), bedtime meant a change into pyjamas. Black ones, in his case (the computer chose the colour- Kit's were purple). Next time he goes to bed I'm going to tell the computer to have him sleep in his underwear, just to see what it gives him.

At least it let me give him proper stubble.
