Sep. 14th, 2004 09:43 amDoing okay today. Right now we're looking at a lot of long-term disaster relief and a certain amount of AIEEEEE WATER FROM THE SKY! WATER FROM THE SKY! AIEEEE!, because the rivers are cresting and there's nowhere else to put the damn stuff. I'm probably going to be driving trucks today and doing paperwork and phone calls. It's needed, and once the St. John's river floods, they'll tap me regardless.
Found the county library last night. Also a magic store, and an area where there were no fewer than five pawn shops in a row, and a USED BOOK STORE! HUZZAH! I'll be dropping by there at lunch if I get the chance. I tried yesterday, but despite the neon signs saying OPEN in the front window, the door was locked. Meh.
We no longer have operational kitchens. We're serving MREs and such fruit and snack food as we can get our hands on. I'm not sure how long that'll continue but I'll update you when I know. I may be out driving a Big Fecking Truck today at some point.
