I feel like hammered poo right now. Sinuses full/heavy/painful, nose runny, head generally post-nasal-drippy. Eyes only moderately itchy. Throat raw. Could be allergies, could be a cold, I dunno.

Only got about 2-3 hrs. sleep last night; kept hearing noises from the closet that made me worry it was infested with a giant nest of carpenter ants. (Trickly-drippy noises that I heard in our downstairs bathroom for a week or two turned out to be a giant nest of carpenter ants, see.) Between that and the cloggy head I was too freaked out to sleep; I got bug spray and zapped the closet, mostly around the door, and then didn't want to chance spray grogginess AND drug grogginess and so didn't take any Tylenol Cold and Sinus. I did open my window to avoid breathing the bug spray fumes, but... well, like I said, not much sleep last night.

At work now, though. Drinking tea. Hoping the storm system will pass and relieve my sinuses.

Got disaster training this afternoon. Will bring notebook. If training insufficiently interesting, will work on WYGO. Neener neener.

Not that I've tried it, but I can't thing that hammering poo would be very effective.

the worst thing about insects is that they get inside your head and multiply - not literally (I SHOULD HOPE) but once they make their presence known you wonder how many of their leggy friends they brought with them.

feel better soon, please. do more of same: rest, tea, scribbles, intricate plots of revenge on buggy invaders. you take care.

*hugs*

Remember what I suggested last night. Saltwater up your nose is your friend. ;)

I know just how you feel - I had a similar cold last night, except that when I woke up today my stomach felt like I'd swallowed a bowling ball and I was all prickly-feverish, which condition lasted most of the day. I finally got a bit more sleep midafternoonish and woke up with fever gone and stomach much better, so I hope it's not going to hang around on me like colds do in January and February every year.

- CD, starting to post often enough to make it worthwhile signing up
