Been there, honey, believe me. It was like that clear into high school- then I went to a university where... hm. How do I put this?
Ever seen the movie "Twister"? You know Helen Hunt's team of stormchasers who were all grubby and weird and quoting Repo Man at each other?
That was what the majority of engineering majors at my school were like- and they were the majority of the population.
As for the dragons... theories about ANYTHING gigantic and scaly are cool in my book.
