Date: 2004-03-17 06:52 am (UTC)Anyway.
Og think human race still in cave, even if not know. Not want any other clan come into hunting ground. Want take other clan hunting ground, too- just in case own clan hunting ground go bad. And since no good mog-ur any more (or not enough good mog-ur), bad mog-ur and stupid mog-ur and crazy mog-ur say, sure, spirits okay with that. So people do stupid thing and think stupid thing good.
People not want admit this what people think. But that how it is. Too many people still in cave whether want say so or not.

Date: 2004-03-17 07:26 am (UTC)Really, though, St. Patrick's Day in America isn't so much an actual celebration of Ireland and Irish culture as it is the celebration of some theoretical and vague celtic culture which involves beer, green things, and more beer. This is something I can always support.

Date: 2004-03-17 01:45 pm (UTC)And then I had to deal with the hordes going home from the parade on the train.
Why can't they hold this parade on the West Side just once?
(OTOH, it's still a lot more interesting than the stodgy old Salute to Israel Parade, which lacks for many Jewish cops and firefighters, and for marching bands from yeshivas.)
hahahaha...

Date: 2004-03-17 07:22 pm (UTC)I think my sides have given up trying to figure out who's supposed to be doing what to whom and started having a party with lots of loud music and dancing and assorted alcohol. Oh, and they all flail their arms around a lot.

Date: 2004-03-18 02:35 am (UTC)I did, however, make corned beef and cabbage, but that's less of an Irish-association than a home-and-mom-and-March association -- which I can't have at home due to Mike's aversion to the smell of boilt cabbage. Bah!
So I foisted it on the Greyhaven gang instead. 8-)
