Mar. 29th, 2002 12:29 amI was on my way home from work today when the whiny hyperactive five year old child that is my brain started hopping up and down behind my eyes and yelling "DVD! DVD! DVD!". When I realised I was passing a Blockbuster and wouldn't even have to go out of my way, I gave up ("yay!" went the five-year-old) and went into the store. I thought maybe something Disney or possibly a Jet Li flick I haven't seen yet. I came out with Rush Hour and a copy of Iron Monkey from the new releases shelf.
Iron Monkey rocks. I mean, it just does. This movie was a tremendous amount of fun, and I only regret not seeing it when it was in the theatres. I'm going to have to buy this thing, it's worth keeping. And I'm going to have to hope that Fang doesn't get to see it - I mean, it came out back home in 1993 - because if he did, well... let's just say the scene on the poles as everything around is on fire would give him All The Wrong Ideas.
But hot damn, that was a fun movie! Rush Hour can wait for tomorrow.
