Nor have I. (And I won't even tease you by suggesting that you stay in and finish my second mitten.) There's just a distinct lack of incredibly whiz-bang parties or events around here this year. People surround the evening with such strange expectations....
Oh, I'll get that mitten done, I promise. I've got the yarn all lined up. I just need to get the 31st settled; I'd like to spend it with friends, if I could.
