Saw ROTK today with friend from out of town ([livejournal.com profile] mountainspeak, I'll see it again in Canada gladly).

Other people report Sky Captain previews, Spiderman previews, Harry Potter previews.

I got goddamn Ashton Kutcher, Mask 2, and some cop thing with The Rock in it.

The local theatre monopoly has earned STABBITY DEATH.

I got those same stupid reviews. What chain of theatres did you see it in?

P.S. - wasn't it *great*?!? I can't even gush to anyone, guz everyone else I know has already seen it!

Sounds like the same trailers I got at the Loews Ewok. That Ashton Kutcher thing (The Butterfly Effect) looks like it might possibly not suck. Or it might.

But you’ve reminded me to check Apple’s trailers page for new stuff.

In all honesty, "the Butterfly Effect" doesn't look that bad. It's about time someone made a serious movie about the likely effects of time travel and reversing history. I may not have chosen Ashton Kutcher for the lead, but it doesn't look that bad.

"The Mask 2," however, looks absolutely horrible.

I got a preview for "I, Robot," though most people don't realize what that preview is, because it looks like it's a commercial for a home robot. You'd have to know that "I, Robot" is coming out (starring Will Smith) to know what the preview is for.

I also got a preview for "the Chronicles of Riddick," the sequel to "Pitch Black," and that movie looks awesome.

I'm most afraid of "Garfield."

Well, I doubt it’s about the actual effects of time travel. It looks like it’s more along the sour grapes, you-can’t-cheat-fate model.

I was actually referring to the process the name implies, that being that a single change, however slight, changes everything. No one handles that sort of issue in time travel movies.

I forgot... I also got "Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban." I don't really like Harry Potter, but the movie doesn't look bad, and I think this is mostly due to Gary Oldman.
