Am in LA at the Holiday Inn nearest LAX. Have rented Red Cross car from Avis. Will drive to San Bernardino tomorrow morning w/Red Cross volunteer from Raleigh, NC in my car. Nice man but despite my repeated insistence otherwise he thinks I"m male; I guess I shouldn't have had my ponytail cut off (hair is chin length now). Will update when I get to SBern as this computer is deuced expensive.

Have read The Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club as my mandatory in-flight novel. Have also knitted significant portion of the DNA Scarf, and have located a photograph in the in-flight magazine that should suit my needs for a visual reference, utsuri.

No writing today...I realized something. I know the entire plot, but I don't know WHO is TELLING it. So I've set my subconcious to work, and will write like a writing FIEND tomorrow.

I'd strongly consider pitching cadhla in a car and making a road trip of it, except I'm due to fly to Florida (family foo) on 9 November, and as such I may not have time between now and then... not to mention you're there to, like, work 'n' stuff.
