I'm going into New York City for the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade tomorrow. I'm not going to participate - I did that once and while it is a fantastic experience, being a part of the parade means you miss seeing an awful lot. I want to do both once, and then I can do either just as I please.
I will, however, be wearing at least a bit of costumery; I intend to wear the jersey I have come to think of as belonging to Chumley, the Littlest Mountie (it fits me like a long-sleeved shirt and it is meant to be worn to play HOCKEY in- where is the room for the armor?), my hockey helmet, and probably bring a hockey stick. I think I will most likely take the train into the city since Hoboken parking costs roughly as much for four hours as a round-trip train ticket, and I would rather not walk through Hoboken after ten PM on Halloween if I can help it. I will probably bring my rollerblade equipment, though. Skate from Penn Station to 22nd street or something, if I can manage. Afterwards - or possibly before - I plan to stop by my uncle's restaurant, which is in Chelsea. Should be fun.
Anyone wanna join me?
