Steve Irwin audition update
Oct. 23rd, 2003 12:23 pmMy boss returned from a week's vacation in Arizona today. I told her about the Croc Hunter audition contest thing in November. She started grinning before I even finished explaining the deal, and asked immediately if I was trying out. I said yes, and said that if I did get a callback we could talk about things like extended time off from work to do it; she seemed to think just trying out would be enough of a hoot, and said it was fine with her.
I love my boss.
In other news, I have to drive around an hour or more tonight to return my cable modem to the Optimum Online people. There aren't any walk-in service centers nearer my current location except for those in really skanky areas. Oh well.
In other other news I have got to knit the rest of my father's mitten tonight and tomorrow, as quickly as I can. And then line the things with flannel. His birthday is the 24th, not the 25th- I know it's UN Day but I can never keep straight which of the two dates is UN Day, either!
In other other other news I will be working on translating the notes of the second LXG 1936 game session into an actual Diary of a Mountie entry after lunch; the computer has ceased crashing at the mention of the fairies. I will also be digging up my pencils and drawing pads after I finish knitting my dad's mittens, because I need to get back into drawing practice and I now know what the Sergeant looks like quite independent of the actor who played him on TV. My only problem there is that I'm not entirely clear on his hair colour; any suggestions from those who give a rat's ass? It's a silly thing, but there it is. I'm leaning towards dark, myself, but I had at least one person say 'blonde' very firmly.
