Bought myself several meters of fabric in Florence as a souvenir- blue crepe de chine for a shirt for the days when I have to go to the office, dark greensatin for a pajama top. I have two patterns that are candidates for the crepe de chine although I am more likely to go with the long-sleeved buttondown one than the short pullover. (Butterick B6856 vs Simplicity 1316, if you're interested, and also is it just me or is the woman in two out of those three pictures on the Butterick package a dead ringer for Vice President Harris?)

I was going to pull up some patterns I have for pajamas for adults and then on a whim went looking for robe designs instead. I think some of these will work a lot better with this fabric, I just have to decide which one. And also I have to get over the fact that despite absolutely none of the ones I like are from Japanese people or traditional in design in any way, virtually all of them are referred to as kimonos. Doesn't matter which pattern designer I'm looking at, what country they're in, even what language ('kimono' kind of sticks out of a German sentence when I'm pawing through Etsy's digital product section).

Urf. Well, anyway. Some of these are what I'm most interested in.
