May. 26th, 2022 11:19 amSecond floor neighbor has taken to parking her car on the street the past month or two, rather than in her space on this property. Not sure why. Some nights I see her car parked in its space but more often than not she leaves it on the street for some reason.
Second floor neighbor has a tendency to get shouty on the phone, or really shouty at her dog, and has been getting into so many arguments with ground floor neighbor that he won't talk to her and wouldn't allow the exterminator she hired (who was supposed to lay bait and traps for the whole building) into his apartment without a lawyer present. Second floor neighbor has also never vacuumed or tidied the hallway or stairwell outside her apartment and was apparently deeply upset that the landlord didn't have someone come and clean up the stairwell on a regular basis. I have largely tried to avoid second floor neighbor where I can, with the exception of that time she called me and begged me to get some delivery service to bring her soup and gingerale because she was violently ill. It's just simpler that way. (Especially when a phone call from the landlord includes "Do you know the woman on the second floor? Is there something wrong with her? Like, in the head?" from said landlord.)
Second floor neighbor is the kind of person who will tell you about the argument she got into with ground floor neighbor about why she doesn't put her trash bins out on the street every week even though there are full trash bags in them, just not enough trash bags to say that her trash bin is ful, and how she doesn't think her trash bins attract mice, and she doesn't know why he's decided he doesn't like her, she's a really nice person, and all the while you're thinking of Tywin Lannister and what he said about the man who must say he is the king.
The town has had signs up on the only two streets into town for a while now stating that street sweeping was going to start for the summer this week and that you'd better have your cars off the street on the appropriate days. The town sent out emails, too, assuming you'd signed up for them.
There are dark wet looking streaks on the street outside that run parallel to the curb right up until they have to swing sideways around second floor neighbor's car.
There's a bright orange piece of paper shoved under one windshield wiper. I can't say I know for certain that it's a ticket but there was a cop car on the street earlier this morning.
I am very tired this morning and I have been dealing with potentially hormonal mood swings and the general state of the world, so I hope you do not think too much less of me for feeling just a bit better about things through the power of schadenfreude.
