May. 25th, 2022 08:22 amAlmost done with the two sports bras I made up to go with the silver-and-red capri length exercise pants, the ones that are the result of that poll I posted ages ago.
It got super weird yesterday when I was attaching the zipper to the first bra, because I've also been watching Netflix's Ultraman anime adaptation, and somewhere around an inch of stitching the first half of the zipper down it occurred to me that a Color Timer addition would really be fairly minimal effort, especially if I just went for a really long zipper shield and used the Timer's bulk to hold it in place...
(I swear I hadn't been thinking of Ultraman or any form of adaptational cosplay when I started this sewing project but gods damn it now I am. I've still got a fair amount of both the silver fabric and shiny red nylon spandex and if the iridescent silver turns out to be too heavy to wear for actual workout gear I have the URLs of at least two New York City suppliers that primarily sell stretch fabrics. If neither Spandex House nor Spandex World has silver I will be VERY surprised.)
eta: well, I did get into stretch fabric sewing in general, and the silver fabric in specific, because I felt that sometimes I just wanted a superhero outfit. I just wasn't thinking of this one.
