Note to self: in olden times they used to use cloves or clove oil as a topical oral anaesthetic. if you inadvertently drop a bunch of powdered clove into your mixture, just get rid of the mixture and start over, do not scoop out what you can and go 'enh, it'll be fine'. it will not be fine.
