Dec. 1st, 2020 08:50 amThere's one grocery store in the town I live in. A couple of convenience stores that remind me of the bodegas back in Hoboken/Jersey City, but only one actual full-bore grocery store. There's one meat market/butcher other than the meat section in the town grocery store.
The town health department reported four employees at the town grocery store and one at the town meat market tested positive for COVID and that anybody who had been in either store between Nov. 21st and Thanksgiving should either get tested or self-isolate for two weeks.
Currently I am keeping an eye on my Instacart order so I can let the shopper know about acceptable substitutions if things are sold out, but Lord, I know how lucky I am compared to a lot of people. Still doing my daily stick-my-nose-directly-in-the-bag-of-coffee test; it's stupidly informal but given that for me, coughing and runny nose/post-nasal drip just means it's sometime between autumn and spring, it's better than nothing.

chanter1944, I'm almost done with your mask, but the liner fabric got cut at a weird point a little too near the attachment zone for ear loops for my liking. I'm doing some repair work on that today before I feel comfortable sending it out. Masks for other people are similarly in the works and will include insertable boning and nose shaping strips.
