Town emergency service autocall last night said they expected hurricane force winds and significant coastal flooding, both from storm winds and from astronomical high tide at 11:16. Evacuation was suggested for homes along the east-facing shoreline and a shelter was opened at the senior center. The tidal flood gates were closed at 5 AM.

Logan Airport METAR says winds are currently 31 knots gusting to 43 knots with one peak gust reported at 46 knots within the past hour.

I realise there is a client visit at the office today but I'm in the IT department, not anything client-facing. I am working from home.
