with the same color metals and another bead from the same strand, but the wrapping wasn't as good and the wire was a heavier gauge. This one is a commission piece for another woman in my office.

Fairly soon I will update my online store with as many of these pieces as possible. Also, the date for the trunk sale has been set; it's going to be December 2nd and 3rd, to coincide with the SoWa Winter Festival. About five or six different jewelry makers, myself included, will be participating. I don't know about the festival proper, but the trunk sale will be at Bead and Fiber, 460 Harrison Ave, Boston MA 02118. This should be interesting.

Another necklace! Same basic design as the tigereye one. )

I will probably be working on earrings next. The Perforated-American fellow who re-pierced my ears about seven weeks ago said he'd be happy to switch out the earrings I went home with after six weeks, but I had to either get approved jewelry from him or else bring him earrings with implant-grade metal posts or wires. He doesn't want to be blamed if something goes wrong with potentially reactive metal, which I think is a very sound approach to take- anyway, I managed to get a couple of niobium earwires, since I didn't feel like looking for the specific steel alloys he said qualified as implant-grade. And titanium, which is also acceptable, is harder to come by (at least if you order from the catalogs I do). I can now make myself a pair; I'll see if I can work up something decent with my sea glass, and another pair with faceted beads, and then use the remaining ear wires to make earrings for sale.

People Are Looking For That, Part V:

Yesterday I found two pages of someone's bank statement on my way from work to the T. The person's name and address were on it at the top of each page.

Slight problem: they were pages 1/3 and 2/3. I did not find 3/3. I did find a sheet of paper that looked about as battered as the other two and that had what looked like someone's attempt at totting up the expenses to balance their checkbook, but I have no idea what became of the third page.

The person's phone number turned out to be listed, so I called them and asked whether they wanted the document shredded or returned to them. All three pieces of paper are in the mail on their way to the person now. I just hope the lost page doesn't cause problems.
