Dear self: next time you list a thing on Amazon in an effort to get it out the door before you move, go to your Amazon Seller account the last day before you move or the first day after you get internet in your new location and close all of the listings you have. Don't just leave them marked 'inactive'. Close them all.

Apparently someone placed an order for a book I was trying to get rid of as part of my moving process last year. I can't find the thing- I haven't unpacked all of my books despite being here nearly two years now- so I sent them an apologetic email and canceled the order. I'd completely forgotten the listing even existed....

Have started working on my next Fallout OOM, as our heroes approach the gates of Philly. Went back to look at some research material.

In the grand tradition of Fallout characters who happen to have the same names as historical personages and who fulfil roles almost identical to said personages, I am going to have people encounter a roving post-nuclear dentist named Painless Parker, after Edgar Randolf Rudolf Parker, Temple University School of Dentistry, class of 1892.
