Aug. 7th, 2014 09:37 amHave begun planning post-nuke Philadelphia for the Fallout universe. There will be man-eating tomatoes and mutant wildlife- thanks, New Jersey, for insisting on putting an aquarium in Camden. you make justifying weird things much easier. I have also got ideas for at least two human factions within the city and am debating exactly how horrid I want the place to be; I don't think it needs to be The Pitt, especially not with the crates of man-eating tomatoes roaming the other side of the river, but it probably took a pretty good pounding during the War and that's going to affect things.
I do, however, need to plan out a couple of Vaults for the area. I'm just sad that the low-numbered Vaults are on the West Coast, because a Vault that riffed on Logan's Run (overcrowded, low resources, everybody is put to death at age 35 to save the resources for everybody else, don't ask where the protein bars come from) would be great- it's just that a Logan's Run Vault would almost have to be Vault 35 (movie version) or Vault 21 (book version, although frankly the movie was better; the book was "OH JESUS GOD THE TEENAGERS WILL KILL US ALL" basically).
