Jul. 21st, 2014 11:03 amShula has been much braver lately about coming into my bedroom. Not so much the living room, which I'd like to see him do more often, but at least he's going places other than the kitchen and the bathroom. He keeps hopping up on the bed with me, which is nice. hissing at Kamella, too, which I would rather he not do but I'm working on that. I'm not sure how much of this is real bravery on his part and how much is that I've been adding some cedar and/or mint and/or similar smelling essential oils to the dryer whenever I do a load of laundry; it's possible those scents are more appealing to him and he's not as unnerved by Kamella's heavy presence in the area. Either way, I'm glad. Still have to get hold of a vet to talk about his health issues, but that's another issue altogether.
Kamella is doing all right, herself. She's been snuggly in the evenings, and she hasn't chased Shula around all that much, and she seems to like hopping up onto my headboard when Shula's on the bed and just being near me. I don't think I can thank Bideawee enough for having rescued her and her sisters from the New York streets, and I hope Caramel and Kelly are happy in whatever homes they went to. Also that Cooper, who she bonded with in the shelter even if he apparently did push her around more often than not, did well wherever he went.
As for me, I'm sore on one side (I took a spill on the bike on the way to the airport on Saturday) and I have a scan scheduled tomorrow for the urologist. We'll see what gets turned up. I have to say I feel more comfortable with MassGen and with my current insurance than I did in Hoboken. Follow-up with the doctor is slated for Thursday. We'll see how it goes.
