Nov. 5th, 2012 09:41 amStill no power at my building. Landlord says they've got power to the building but have to replace the circuit breakers, so we're waiting on an electrician who was supposed to be coming in "first thing in the morning". I have no idea how early "first thing in the morning" is for someone in a profession as busy as an electrician after a disaster. Or if he'll show up at all.
Getting a little grumpy about the whole thing. Trying not to let it get to me. There is no point to being angry, it won't change anything in this case. There's other stuff that needs my energy, not this.
My co-worker who also lives in Hoboken was only in his apartment one night this week, and it had no power. He's staying with another friend instead. He's told me that he believes I'm the only one in the IT department who'd actually survive an apocalypse. I think he's being a little overdramatic but I can live with that kind of kudo.
We'll see how things are when I go home tonight.
