Normally around my birthday I make a few sideways mentions of it to people to see if they do anything, because I kind of like being caught completely by surprise by people's ideas of birthday stuff, but it sort of occurred to me today that this is not a very good way to go about getting the occasion marked by anything like... oh... a group dinner or anything of the sort. My birthday's on the ninth. Do any of y'all who know me RL and live in the NYC area want to get together after work then or Thursday for something?
