The short version of where this came from: milliways_bar muns having a discussion about Power of Attorney ---> "What would you need, legally, to authorize removing someone else's spleen?" ---> "Hey, I remember the Nickelodeon show Two Angry Beavers! They hid from the Killer Spleen!" ----> Google search on "killer spleen", in quotes ----> this listing about 3/4 of the way down the results page.

Plus, as usual, the disturbing bits of my gray matter.

I just got smacked between the eyes with a powerful sense of how evil I am to my characters. Well, to one character in particular. Ever realize you've been sowing the seeds of a metaplot for longer than you knew?
