Didn't know [livejournal.com profile] kielle / [livejournal.com profile] _redpanda_ as much as some folks on my friendslist did, but I knew her a little, and it sucks that she's dead.

Not poetic, I know, but neither was how it happened. On the other hand...

When I go on Red Cross volunteer missions it seems as if one particular song entwines itself around each one, from whatever I'm hearing on the radio most often. It generally isn't a song that has anything to do with the actual disaster or its aftermath or anything.

But this time, the one I heard most often- on country stations and regular stations alike- was almost certainly being played as often as it was as some kind of emotional response to what Hurricane Katrina did. And I'm thinking, looking at the words now, that it might just possibly suit folks who're missing [livejournal.com profile] kielle...
