(no subject)

Woke up this morning with my eyes itching, my throat sore, my nose dripping, etc. Since I'd promised myself yesterday that if I didn't feel well I'd call in sick, I called in sick around 7:45. Then I went back to sleep.

Still rather tired but I know my sleep cycle well enough to know that further attempts at sleep will not do me much good right now.

I'm going to go put some tea on, I think. Might get dressed, too, since sick or no, I need to empty out my car later today and get rid of the thing. From there it's the PATH from Newark Penn Station back home to Grove Street, unless I can find a DMV to surrender my plates at first.

... gods that sounds weird. Like I'm going to the Secret Service for a Counterfeiters' Amnesty Day or something.

As of 5:30 this afternoon, I am no longer a car owner.

Tomorrow I go to the DMV and surrender my license plates. Then I go to work.

No more giant incontinent puppy! Whee! And it's going to someone in the construction jobs program, so they'll have transportation to and from job sites away from the Newark area, so that's good too.
